Jaimee's outtaSite
webpage

This is my second attempt at making a webpage that
I can be proud of. I hope that it works.
I decided to make this new site because my old one was a dull
rush job. I hope this one proves to be better.
I am currently an instructor in the Summer
Math, Science, & Technology Program 1999 at NYU. The director
of the program is Dr. Brian Murfin. He is the best boss any one
could ever have and boy is he talented!! (click
here to view his class page.) Well anyway, the summer program
is formatted to help 9th & 10th graders learn how to use the
computer to learn more about math and science. They go on field
trips and use college facilities to carry out their assignments.
The students even learn how to create their own webpages (Click
here to check out their webpages). I am glad that I had an
oppurtunity to work with these bright youngsters. It really gave
me insight on what to expect from high school students.
Wanna know a little more about me?
Some other interesting projects that I was a part of included:
This was an on-line science fair that Dr. Brian Murfin conducted
in the school year 1998-1999. Students from all over the United
States and a few other countries participated in the event. Sponsors
included The National Science Foundation, Bell Atlantic, AOL Foundation,
& the NYU Center for Advanced Technologies.
I became a NSF teaching scholar as a result of working with
students that participated in ICE2000. It was a great experience
and they even gave me a partial scholarship to NYU.
